Szwajcaria Kaszubska In Polish literature for the first time was used 1913 fir qualification of terrains round Kartuzy, Somoninio, Chmielno and Stezyca.With time, the notion of Szwajcaria Kaszubska was widened also on area of Sierakowice and Suleczyno. Today this region usually identifies with terrais of Kartuzy and terrains of Koscierzyna. Szwajcaria Kaszubska is picturesque area, characterized with planty of lakes, little water eyes and peatbog. In this area are also situated highest hills of the Middle European - Wieżyca, big lakes and on the south part of the region - big wooden complex which are connected with Bory Tucholskie. For the fifty years area of Szwajcaria Kaszubska is one of the main touristic attraction of Pomorze Gdanskie. There is well developed hostels system and gastronomic net. The most interesting places are well expose and singed. The center of Kaszuby are Kartuzy, situated 40 km from gdansk. Kaszuby are the most attractive place because of country side view of Pojezierze Kaszubskie.
In the summer regional lakes attract crouds of tourist who would like to have cannoning expeditions. Woods of unseen beauty make pedestrians tourists impressed. In winter they are also able to find something for themselves
